Jagadeesh said that the checks were conducted by a team of III-Town police led by Circle Inspector Rajendranath Yadav, as part of the efforts to curb drug trafficking.

A businessman’s wife and 5-year-old daughter, who were travelling from Andhra Pradesh to Rajasthan, died after falling from a moving train. The husband realised they were missing late at night, triggering a three-day search across multiple railway stations. Their bodies were found on October 13 near the tracks between Yadgiri and Nalwar stations in Karnataka. Missing from train at midnight Mangilal Devasi (35), a resident of Basada-Dhanji village in Jalore district and currently running a wholesale and retail mobile accessories business in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, was traveling with his family to attend his brother-in-law’s wedding scheduled for November 22.He, along with his wife Pushpa Devi (32), son Dharmendra (9), and daughter Ravina (5), boarded train number 22690 from Anantapur to Ahmedabad on November 9 at 8:30 PM. After dinner around 10 PM, all four went to sleep. Around 11:30 PM, when the train was running between Yadgiri and Nalwar—about 90 kilometers from Raichur—Pushpa Devi took Ravina to the bathroom. According to the preliminary police investigation, while washing hands at the tap outside the bathroom, Ravina slipped due to a wet floor. As Pushpa tried to save her, she also lost balance. Because the coach gate was open, both fell from the moving train.
